Freqently Asked Questions (FAQs) about membership and member benefits:
Yes if you are a member you can we just ask that NCVYS is credited and that the whole e-bulletin is past on and is not edited. Your members can also benefit from the deals and discounts on a range of products and services e.g. outdoor education facilities, training, insurance set out in the Member Benefits Guide.
No. The National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) is a national 'network of networks' of organisations that work with young people. We also have local and regional networks like the one you will be a member of, that supports youth organisations. Our membership also includes those organisations that directly work with young people from small community youth groups through to large well known youth charities.
Sometimes youth groups apply for NCVYS membership and they are very welcome. Youth groups need to decide for themselves whether we offer anything different from what they are receiving already. Youth groups should prioritise applying for membership with their local network first.
However, many organisations like to feel they are part of the national cause, especially with the work that we do representing our members on the policy influencing front. Also, many organisations apply just so they can receive our highly regarded information, especially the Funding Bulletin. Not all of our network members pass on the information to their members, despite our encouragement.
You should have received a renewal invitation email and there is a table within the email that sets out the membership fee bands you just need to activate your membership by clicking on the appropriate link that matches your income.
This will then send an email to the administration and we will send you an invoice and confirm your membership for a further year by email. Failing that, just email us telling us who you are and which membership fee to invoice you for. We have tried to make the process easy and straightforward.
